The GRAFIK Eye Infrared Trasmitter uses wireless infrared communications to select and adjust scenes.

Power Modules

  • Increase the load capacity of the GRAFIK Eye QS.

  • Phase-Adaptive Power Module: Allows one GRAFIK Eye QS zone to dim a fully loaded lighting circuit. Used to control incandescent, electronic low-voltage, magnetic low-voltage, and neon/cold cathode lighting sources. Automatically selects leading-edge or trailing edge dimming for low-voltage transformers.
  • 3-Wire Fluorescent Power Module: Allows one GRAFIK Eye QS zone to dim fluorescent lights that have Lutron Hi-lume, Hi-lume 3D, and Eco-10 (Eco Series) line-voltage control electronic dimming ballasts.
  • Switching Power Module: Allows one GRAFIK Eye QS zone to switch a fully loaded lighting circuit. Used to switch incandescent, electronic low-voltage, magnetic low-voltage, and neon/cold cathode lighting sources.

RS232/Ethernet Control Interface

RS232/Ethernet Control Interface

Seamlessly integrates lights and shades with A/V and building management control systems. Provides two-way communication to and from the QS system.

  • Integrates a GRAFIK Eye QS with a touchscreen, PC, or other digital equipment that supports RS232 communication, or TCP/IP communication over Ethernet.
  • Monitoring commands allow a touchscreen or PC to query GRAFIK Eye QS to:
    • Determine which scene is selected.
    • Read individual zone’s intensity.
    • Keep track of buttons pressed.
  • Control commands allow a touchscreen or PC to operate GRAFIK Eye QS to:
    • Select or sequence lighting scenes.
    • Raise or Lower one or more zones.
    • Set Zone Intensity on GRAFIK Eye QS Series Control Units.
    • Report scene changes and/or button presses.
  • Can control any combination of GRAFIK Eye QS Series Control Units on the link.
  • Provides two-way communication to and from QS system.
  • Only the RS232 or only ethernet port may be active at any given time.
  • One (1) network control interface per QS system.

Contact Closure Interface

Contact Closure Interface

Integrates with equipment that has contact-closure I/O such as motion and occupancy sensors, timeclocks and push buttons, motorized projection screens, skylight and window shades, moveable walls, A/V equipment and security systems. It may be programmed to work with GRAFIK Eye QS Control Units, Sivoia® QS Window Treatments and Quantum®.

  • Provides five inputs and five dry contact closure outputs.
  • Provides both normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) contacts.
  • Using the inputs, contact closures in other equipment can operate control units to:
    • select scenes
    • reflect status of movable walls
    • toggle any combination of zones in the system between Off and a configurable preset
    • turn lights on or off and/or move shades based on occupancy
    • perform special functions such as sequencing, panic, control lockout or timeclock disable
  • Using the outputs, scene and/or zone changes in control units can:
    • trigger outputs to control other equipment
    • provide status feedback to other equipment
  • Using the inputs, contact closures from other equipment and operate Sivoia QS window treatments to:
    • open or close
    • raise, lower or stop
    • select one of three adjustable presets
  • Can be configured to allow seeTouch QS Keypads or GRAFIK Eye QS units to control third party shades.

DMX Control Interface

DMX Control Interface

The QSE-CI-DMX control interface allows zones on a GRAFIK Eye QS Wireless to control DMX512-controlled devices, such as LED drivers, strobes, fog machines and motorized fixtures. Any zone on the GRAFIK Eye QS Wireless can be mapped to either a single DMX512 channel or to three separate DMX512 channels, for RGB/CMY color-control applications.

  • Map any zone on a GRAFIK Eye QS Wireless control unit to any single DMX512 channel.
  • Map any zone on a GRAFIK Eye QS Wireless control unit simultaneously to three DMX512 channels for RGB/CMY color-control.
  • Integral RGB/CMY lookup table that maps GRAFIK Eye QS zone intensities to RGB/CMY values.
  • RGB/CMY table can be customized by using the Lutron QS Color Configuration Tool. The application is available on a CD packaged with the QSE-CI-DMX.
